Terms and Conditions

Our promise is simple, we will perform your test within the same day otherwise it is free*. Sometimes events outside of our control mean that we can not deliver on this promise and we list these exclusions for you to read and understand.

*If events under our control mean that we do not give you your results on time, then a full refund will be provided and your test will be performed for free. We will do our utmost to deliver your results on time but sometimes events occur that our outside our control, such as:

 
 
1. Samples delivered to our laboratory after 8:30 AM.
2. For legal testing, documentation must to be completed in accordance with the Australian Family Law Act (1975). If this documentation is not completed correctly, then your samples may be rejected by the laboratory before testing commences. If this occurs fresh samples will need to be collected. When the new samples are received then testing will be done within the day.
3. In the rare instances where there is not enough DNA on the swabs to perform the test, fresh samples will have to be taken. If this occurs testing will cease until a fresh sample is collected. When the new samples are received then testing will be done within the day.
4. During parentage testing, there will be occasions where we will discover that a change has occurred in the child’s DNA during the transmission of DNA from the parent to the child. This change in the DNA is known as a genetic mutation event. In the majority of instances, these changes are easily qualified as mutation events during routine testing by the laboratory. However, in some rare cases additional testing may be required before the final parentage report can be issued. This in most cases will delay the process by one business day but this can not be guaranteed.
5. Power failure, equipment failure, fire, flood, earthquake, or acts of God, riots and/or civil disorders in Australia.

If events outside our control occur, we will still do our best to deliver your results on time but unfortunately no refund will be granted. If an event listed in point 1 or 5 (power failure only) occurs and we do not deliver your report by 6 PM the next business day (in the State of Victoria) then a full refund will be provided and your test will be performed for free.
